The Trip to Arkansas
This morning was exciting. There were bagels at the hotel breakfast. Yum! It was raining when we left the hotel, raining as we traveled, and raining at our first stop. There is so much water in the midwest.
We went to the OKC bombing memorial first. It was sad. It was large because some people made a bomb out of fertilizer that was in a large rented truck. They parked it in front of the building and it went kablooey. The front part of the building blew up and killed some people including children at a daycare.
Then we went to Quail Springs Baptist Church and took pictures. This church sent a group to Poland to lead a family camp. Our church learned about the trip and studied them in the children's group last month.
After touring OKC, we left for Arkansas. The landscape changed and we began to experience hills once more. Now we are in Conway staying with friends and reminiscing about the old days. The kids played games, talked and we all ate tacos for dinner. Delicious!
More to come tomorrow.
