Davis Household

First we went to the First White House of the Confederacy. The staff came immediately with cold water delivered on a silver platter. Inside the White House I saw a flag with stars and bars. Next, we walked across the street and stood on the steps of the State Capitol where Jefferson Davis gave his inauguration speech and MLK Jr. gave a speech 100 years later. Then we got on the road and drove for a few hours to Florida, back to Alabama, then through Mississippi and lastly to New Orleans, Louisiana. Written by MA Oaks edited by J Oaks
